Serena Williams just found out the sex of her second baby in the funniest way

Tennis legend Serena Williams is gearing up to welcome her second baby with tech entrepreneur husband, Alexis Ohanian – and she just uploaded a truly iconic gender reveal video to her YouTube channel.

The couple, who already share a five-year-old daughter, Olympia, are now excitedly waiting for the birth of their second child. However, the news of their second child’s sex wasn’t revealed to Serena in the most straightforward of manners… as Alexis decided to prank his wife before sharing the happy news with her.

With their loved ones gathered around them for the big reveal party, Alexis presented Serena with a cake – something he dubbed as the most ‘basic’ gender reveal concept he could come up with, which he thought Serena would be disappointed with – only when she cut it open, the inside was, err, yellow. Yep, no blue, no pink. Just yellow!

“She will cut into this cake and probably be disappointed and hopefully appreciate my troll, but we’ll see,” Alexis told the camera in a BTS clip. “I don’t know if she’s gonna be a professional about it. She might see this cake come out, roll her eyes, and say, ‘This guy had one job and he gave me a goddamn cake gender reveal’.”

After slicing into the cake, Serena (understandably) looked a bit confused and kind of over the whole sitch (tbf let’s no play with a pregnant woman’s emotions like that, hey!), and then jokingly went to smush the cake into her husband’s face (again, understandably).

However, Alexis saved the day by explaining that his yellow cake had just been his attempt to ‘troll’ Serena, and then asked his wife, daughter and gathered guests to turn their attentions towards the sky – where a drone light display was in full swing… ready to reveal the word ‘girl’.
