The police investigation into the death of Celeste Rivas, whose body was found in singer D4vd’s abandoned Tesla, has revealed a disturbing pattern of alleged manipulation and cover-up. New evidence, including digital communication and the artist’s own public statements, has been filed by investigators.
Suspicious Digital Trail & Relationship Timeline
VOD Deletion: A resurfaced clip from a January 2024 Twitch stream shows D4vd on camera with Celeste Rivas before he abruptly instructs his moderators to “delete all VODs and then as soon as the stream ends delete the stream too.” This order to erase the public interaction is a key piece of evidence.
Discord Messages: Leaked Discord messages from D4vd’s fan server reportedly confirm that his relationship with Celeste began when she was 12 and he was 17. Further messages, sent a year ago, allegedly show D4vd writing, “me and deleted user got a kid on the way,” with the “deleted user” confirmed to be Celeste.
Obsession Evidence: Fans noted that D4vd began wearing bracelets matching those Celeste wore in a family photo. Furthermore, another woman named Celeste was seen on a different stream wearing the same Gap sweater as the missing girl’s poster, leading to speculation that D4vd may have been trying to confuse people about who he was with.
The Crime Scene and Cover-Up
Tesla Deception: The Tesla, registered to D4vd, was found with the body inside a towyard. However, police are questioning why D4vd reported the car missing, as he could track the vehicle’s location via the Tesla app and it was reportedly found near his own house.
Home Search: Police obtained a search warrant for the home D4vd was staying at, which is noted to have cameras at all entry points. Investigators hope the security footage will show when Celeste was last seen. Material from the car was also reportedly found inside the home, leading police to suspect the crime took place there.
“Alter Ego” Confession: An old interview resurfaced where D4vd described his character’s “evil alter ego” who “would commit the crimes that I would have to solve as the detective.” This bizarre statement has been widely re-evaluated by the public as potential self-incrimination.
Retirement Plan: D4vd previously stated he wanted to “retire and go off the grid” in 3-4 years. Fans noted that this timeline coincided with when Celeste would turn 18, suggesting the retirement was a calculated escape plan.
Public Defiance: Following the news of the investigation, D4vd’s only public activity was reportedly playing the video game Fortnite, leading many to believe he is attempting to appear unconcerned.
