BREAKING: Kefi D Names Diddy as the “Lead Man” in Tupac Murder, While New Evidence and Theories Surface Alleging Suge Knight’s Involvement and Claiming Tupac Is Still Alive

The reinvestigation into the 1996 passing of hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur has intensified, bringing new attention to the alleged roles of Sean “Diddy” Combs and Suge Knight, while simultaneously reigniting decades-old theories that Tupac may have faked his own death.
Diddy’s Alleged Involvement and the $1 Million Hit
The focus on Diddy stems from statements made by Duane “Kefi D” Davis, who was recently brought in for interrogation after decades of staying free. Kefi D has publicly and privately alleged that Diddy was the orchestrator behind Tupac’s killing.
Financial Motive: Kefi D claimed that Diddy hired him to take out Tupac for $1 million.
Personal Beef: Diddy’s motive allegedly started in 1995 after Tupac was photographed with Diddy’s ex-partner and baby mama, Sarah Chapman, whom Diddy had previously described as his “dream girl.”
Legal Filing: Diddy has been mentioned 77 times in a legal filing related to the case. When previously questioned by a journalist, Diddy dismissed the accusations as “nonsense.”
Rappers Speak Out: Both 50 Cent and Eminem have referenced Diddy’s alleged involvement. 50 Cent joked that he avoids Diddy because “he got Tupac killed,” and Eminem rapped in his song “Fuel” that Diddy might “put a hit on me like Kefi D did him.”

The Night of the Shooting: Kefi D’s Confession
Kefi D provided a detailed account of the shooting in Las Vegas, confirming the events of the night of September 7, 1996:
The Brawl: The night began at the MGM Grand after a Mike Tyson fight, where Tupac, Suge Knight, and their entourage spotted a rival—Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson (Kefi D’s nephew)—in the lobby, leading to a brawl.
Spotting the Car: Later that night, Kefi D, Orlando, and others drove around in a white Cadillac looking for the offenders. They spotted Tupac and Suge Knight’s black BMW at the intersection of East Flamingo Boulevard and Koval Lane.
The Shot: Kefi D claims they pulled alongside the BMW, and Tupac, hanging out the window, appeared to be reaching for something in his car door. Kefi D states that once Tupac started reaching, the shots were fired from his Cadillac’s back seat. Kefi D later expressed deep regret for what happened, stating, “I just I hate it happened… I wish it never happened.”
Suge Knight and Snoop Dogg’s Controversial Roles
New police records and witness accounts suggest Suge Knight may have played a more sinister role than previously believed:
Framing Theory: Detective Pool’s records indicate a suspicion that Suge Knight may have orchestrated the hit on Tupac before the rapper could leave the label, then framed the rival team to throw off investigators. Eminem also held Suge Knight responsible for the passing of both Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.
Snoop Dogg’s Absence: Snoop Dogg, who was scheduled to be in the BMW that night, claims he didn’t go because he had a misunderstanding with Tupac days earlier. Their argument was over an interview where Snoop expressed a liking for Biggie and Diddy’s music, which reportedly upset Tupac. Snoop’s sudden change of plans is considered suspicious, as he was well-connected and may have heard about an impending hit.
The Conspiracy: Is Tupac Alive?
Despite the new evidence, theories that Tupac faked his own passing continue to surface, fueled by key figures close to him:
Suge Knight’s Account: Suge Knight has stated in multiple interviews that he believes Tupac is alive. He claimed that on the way to the hospital, he and Tupac were “laughing and joking,” contradicting police accounts that Tupac was in a deep sleep.
The Cuba Sighting: Tupac’s friend, Tre, was caught on camera in a 2010 interview saying that he last saw Tupac in Cuba, a strange comment about someone who had been gone for 14 years. A separate online video later claimed to show Tupac sitting in a parking lot in Cuba.
Suge Knight Jr.’s Claims: In 2018, Suge Knight Jr. used Instagram to claim Tupac was alive and living in Malaysia, later posting a text conversation reading, “You said too much it’s time for you to go.”
The ongoing reinvestigation is poised to unravel the mystery that has plagued the hip-hop world for decades, but the question of who was truly responsible—and whether the legendary rapper is truly gone—remains a subject of intense public debate.
