The “Married to Medicine” cast is shocked by Phaedra Parks’ parting words.
Phaedra Parks departed “Married to Medicine” after Apollo Nida and his estranged wife attended the couples’ trip. Dr. Heavenly Kimes invited Apollo.
He originally told her Sherien Copes wasn’t going. But when Apollo and Sherien showed up and confronted Phaedra about bringing Cheick as a date, Phaedra realized it was time for her to leave the show.
Sherien and Phaedra do not have a good relationship. According to Phaedra, Sherien was allegedly Apollo’s mistress while she was pregnant with their youngest son.
Phaedra had a lot to say about the OGs during her green-screen interview. In her opinion, the ladies are nothing more than mean girls.
She said they have a horrible track record with newbies over the years. This perspective isn’t necessarily unique to Phaedra. Former “Married to Medicine” cast member Audra Curry said newbies are set up to fail.
Well, Phaedra had more to say in unaired confessionals. During the first part of the “Married to Medicine” reunion for Season 11, the producers show the ladies the unaired footage. Phaedra holds nothing back.
A producer asks, “What have you learned from your time with the ladies?”
Phaedra answers, “They’re trash. So I’m not going to be able to say that I enjoyed anything about this group because I feel like they’re demonic minions of hell.”
She adds, “They’re those ******. Those mean angry black women who are mean to other black women because they’re fat, funny looking…they’re just jealous and hateful.
I don’t see a future with these ladies because they don’t like me. And I like people who like me. And I don’t try to participate in spaces that I’m not welcome in. So I’m very happy to be leaving. I’m ecstatic!”
The reactions that follow are interesting.
Toya Bush-Harris says, “That’s terrible. I mean that’s really bad. ‘Cause we welcomed her last year and was so happy to have her a part of the group. I mean that’s deep.”
Quad Webb asks, “I think there was a word there called trash. Who was she referring to?”
Dr. Simone Whitmore responds, “I don’t know and none of us have presented or done the trash that she used to do. None of us have gone that deep.”
