Tesla is set to unveil its much-anticipated Model Q, a compact SUV, in June 2025. Recently spotted at Giga Texas, this new vehicle aims to address the growing demand for affordable electric vehicles in an increasingly competitive market.
Tesla’s CFO confirmed during the Q4 earnings call that the Model Q will officially debut in the first half of 2025, sparking excitement among enthusiasts.
The Model Q is expected to be about 15% smaller and 30% lighter than the Model 3, potentially offering a more budget-friendly starting price around $28,000.
It will reportedly come in two variants: a single motor RWD version and a dual motor AWD long-range option, with battery capacities ranging from 53 kWh to 75 kWh.
This strategic launch is seen as crucial for Tesla’s continued market dominance, especially as the Model Y remains the company’s best-selling vehicle.
As Tesla ramps up production, it aims to manufacture around 10,000 Model Q units weekly.
With this move, Tesla is poised to reshape the electric vehicle landscape, making EVs accessible to a broader audience and solidifying its leadership in the affordable segment.
