Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are going to be parents again!

The couple revealed the news of their third child on the way ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, where A$AP Rocky is serving as a co-chair this year.

The Fenty Beauty entrepreneur, 37, and “Praise the Lord” musician, 36, who is co-chairing this year’s event, arrived (separately) to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 5. looking effortlessly chic — business as usual for the stylish couple.

Rocky, who is co-chairing, arrived early in the evening and wore a custom all-black AWGE (his label) look. Rihanna arrived well after the carpet ended (as is her go-to routine) and debuted her bump in a gray bustier with a black floor-length skirt and cropped black jacket — all Marc Jacobs, who also designed her heels, tie and hat (with milliner Stephen Jones).

Of course, the couple’s tailored looks related to the event’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

Last October, Vogue revealed the 2025 Met Gala would take place May 5 with Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour as co-chairs, as well as LeBron James as honorary chair.

The star-studded event will fundraise for The Costume Institute and put the spotlight on its spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

According to Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton, the exhibit, which is inspired by guest curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, explores “the Black dandy as both a concept and an identity signifier.”

Through a curation of garments, paintings, photographs and more, the exhibit “presents a cultural and historical examination of Black style from the 18th century to the present through an exploration of the concept of dandyism,” according to a post on the museum’s Instagram.

The couple have been known as major figures at the Met Gala, and the mom-of-two has made more than a dozen appearances at the fashion event since her red carpet debut in 2009, when she wore an ethereal white Georges Chakra halter gown embellished with crystals.

Many of Rihanna’s most popular and well-received looks have become iconic in the history of the gala, especially her papal-inspired Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano look for 2018’s “Heavenly Bodies” theme.

A$AP Rocky has had a handful of memorable Met Gala appearances as well. In 2021, he made his debut alongside Rihanna in a massive multicolored quilt.

Rihanna’s look that year featured a gigantic sculptural coat dress, featuring a high collar and flared hem, that she accessorized with over 267 carats of Bulgari jewels, plus a Thelma West ring and Maria Tash earrings. A$AP Rocky walked the carpet with his girlfriend, wrapped in his multicolor quilted blanket look.

In 2023, the couple made their mark and shut down the red carpet once again in looks that honored the late Karl Lagerfeld.

Rihanna wore a massive white Maison Valentino gown with a long, sweeping train and matching cape covered in textured rosettes. She topped the look off with opera-length fingerless gloves and a pair of white sunglasses with faux eyelashes attached.

The rapper wore a Gucci look featuring a black blazer, a white collared dress shirt, and a red plaid pleated kilt layered over a pair of bedazzled jeans, a direct reference to a similar look Lagerfeld wore to close out a Chanel runway show in 2004.

The couple have even been praised by the organizer of the Met Gala herself, Anna Wintour. The Vogue editor-in-chief, 75, recently revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she thinks A$AP Rocky and Rihanna are the most influential celebrity couple when it comes to fashion.

“First of all, they’re very talented, they’re very brilliant, I think they have wonderful values, and they have an enormous amount of style,” she told the outlet.
