Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Hint at Their Third baby’s Name Ahead Of Due Date
The world got more than couture and carpet moments at the Met Gala this week, as Rihanna and A$AP Rocky casually dropped some baby bombshells, and the internet barely holds it together. Yes, baby No. 3 is on the way, and what is the name? It definitely starts with an “R,” according to the “Kids Turned Out Fine” rapper himself.
“For sure,” Rocky confirmed when asked if the new baby’s name would follow the family’s signature “R” theme. That means baby No. 3 will join siblings RZA, who’s turning 3 this week, and Riot, 1, in the alphabetically harmonious household.
But things took a turn for the unexpected when Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, entered the chat.
Could Baby No. 3 Be Named A$AP Joe?
If you’re thinking, “Wait, how did the family lawyer get involved in baby names?” Welcome to this very 2025 moment. Tacopina, who recently led Rocky to a courtroom victory in a high-profile case, told Extra that Rihanna and Rocky jokingly (or maybe not-so-jokingly?) promised to name their next baby after him.
“They grabbed me and said, ‘Listen, our next baby — A$AP Joe,’” Tacopina recalled, reliving his best humblebrag moment of the year. “I said, ‘I’m gonna hold you to that!’”
Now, unless they plan to drop a Joseph in between RZA and Riot, the name might not be a perfect alphabetical fit. But with Rihanna and Rocky, never say never. These two love to keep the world guessing, and let’s face it, A$AP Joekinda slaps.
Legal Battles Behind, Baby Joy Ahead
Rocky’s courtroom drama wrapped up earlier this year, with the “Praise the Lord” rapper found not guilty of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
A four-week trial, a lot of legal firepower, and a verdict that left Rocky free to walk red carpets and plan baby names at fashion galas.
“I’m glad everybody’s happy for us, because we’re definitely happy,” Rocky told reporters at the Met Gala.
“We were tired of holding that, and it was time to show the people what we was cooking up.” And no, he wasn’t just talking about designer threads. Baby No. 3 is officially in the oven.

The beauty mogul, fashion icon, and nine-time Grammy winner looked radiant as ever and gave fans a small but precious update.
“I’m good, shockingly feeling OK, and not too overwhelmed at the moment,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “At first, I was kind of like — tired but I’m excited.”
And yes, she knows you’re wondering about the album. No, there’s still no official drop date, but Rih assured fans that the baby bump isn’t slowing her down too much. “Maybe a couple videos,” she teased. “But I can sing.”
