Claressa Shields Claps Back At Remy Ma’s ‘Lies’ & Defends Papoose’s Loyalty

My man. My man. My man. Claressa Shields has taken to Quinta Brunson’s internet to call out the “lies” told by Remy Ma on social media—while fiercely defending Papoose’s character.

The boxing champ kicked off her thread of tweets by writing,

I’m a read in between the lines type person. Even if the lines are lies!

Claressa said her recent “Breakfast Club” interview triggered Remy Ma and warned that she’ll be even more upset once she addresses the “lies” Remy told on social media Thursday.

In case you missed it, during her appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Claressa referred to the ongoing marriage drama between Papoose and Remy Ma—along with their looming divorce—as the “elephant in the room.”

That’s not my place to speak on it. It will get handled.

She continued,

I’m such a secure woman when it comes to him because he’s proven it to me.

When someone is truthful with you from the beginning—there is no secrets—it’s just, ‘Aye, this is what it is. And do you accept or do you not accept?’

That’s kinda what it was.

He’s been truthful from the beginning and we fell asleep on the phone for three or four months of us first getting together.

So, for us to fall asleep on a regular night and wake up to chaos in the morning was like, ‘Oh s**t.’

Claressa Shields also made it clear she holds no ill will toward Remy Ma.

Now, the chaos she’s referring to is when Remy Ma put their relationship on blast last December.

But after Thursday’s fiery online exchange between Remy Ma and Papoose, Claressa clearly came with a new energy.

She took to X (formerly Twitter), writing:

I’m a read in between the lines type person. Even if the lines are lies! I have a lot of respect for the truth. I heard so many lies today it was crazy, one, if my breakfast club interview triggered her that much… just wait til I address the lies she told today.

Papoose is not my manager 🤣🤣🤣 @MarkTaffetMedia is my Manager! I don’t let nothing or nobody play with my money. Since I’ve been with Pap he has created opportunities for me to get bags 💰! So all that talk was cap 🧢

Don’t try and diminish this man character. Pap is a helpful man that’s just how he is. It take a lot to piss him off. He’s very loyal and solid. Word is bond to him.

We been living our best life since mid-August last year. I really enjoyed our private relationship for reasons like this. All these people judging a situation they know nothing about. Pap was separated way before I came along.

HONDA 😂😂🤦🏾‍♀️ AIRBNBS, HOTELS!!!!! Man stoppppp! It’s crazy how everybody broke 🤣🤣🤣 I’m sorry to tell you but I fight too good to be broke. All my cars are 2022s and 2023s, Pap drive a Benz! And got his own place. Everyone know my houses I got. No need to speak lies when the truth will set you free.

Claressa closed her thread with a subtle warning:
